WHITTIER ALASKA 9 JULY 2009

On Thursday 9 July 2009, we headed back to Whittier for yet another Halibut trip. This was trip #8 for the year (out of Whittier).  Justin Silva really wanted to get his wife out on a Halibut trip. and it looked like good weather was upon us.  I also took Dave Mann along with us, he has his own boat, but wanted to go out and learn a little more about how this whole Halibut thing worked.  We had a great weather day, it picked up a little around 3 PM.  so we packed up and headed home.  We caught allot of Halibut, nothing big, but we kept 3 decent chickens and a big yellow eye rock fish.  It was a good day, we all got a little sun-burnt and I think Megan Silva had a good time for her first try at Halibut fishing.  I think Dave Mann is ready to give it a go and try on his own to hunt the elusive Halibut.
